Our Data Policy
Real Harmonium respects your privacy. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number, and we run no accounts. Your playing, settings and recordings stay on your device. The Android app shows ads served by Google and uses Google Analytics for Firebase for anonymous usage statistics; both are described in Section 9 below.

1. Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Real Harmonium, developed by Sanatan Dharm, handles information when you use the application.
We have written this policy in simple language so that every user can easily understand how their privacy is protected while enjoying the harmonium.
2. About Real Harmonium
Real Harmonium is an Indian harmonium simulation and music application that lets you play a realistic harmonium keyboard on your device.
The app offers a realistic harmonium keyboard, authentic harmonium sound, multi-touch playing, recording, transpose, octave controls, reverb, reed controls, and MIDI keyboard support.
You do not need to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details to use the app.
3. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information ourselves. Real Harmonium does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address
- Account details or passwords
- Payment or financial information
- Your precise location
- Your contacts, photos, or files unrelated to the app
We operate no user accounts and maintain no databases of user information. Any settings you choose and any recordings you create are kept privately on your own device.
About advertising and analytics data: the Android app displays ads to keep it free and uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the instrument is used. For these purposes Google may process your Android advertising identifier (advertising ID), an app-instance identifier, limited device information, app interactions (such as keys played and screens opened), diagnostics, and an approximate location derived from your IP address, under Google's own privacy policy. We never receive your name, email, precise location, or any other personal information from Google, and these identifiers are not linked by us to your playing, your settings, or your recordings, which stay on your device. See Section 9 for details.
4. How We Use Information
We do not collect personal information, so there is no personal profile for us to analyse or share.
The app uses your input only to provide its core features on your device — playing sound, applying your chosen settings such as transpose, octave, reverb, and reed controls, saving recordings that you create, and responding to a MIDI keyboard if you connect one.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any user information. Advertising and anonymous usage statistics are handled by Google as described in Section 9; Google processes that data on our behalf and under its own privacy policy. We do not receive the identifiers, interactions, diagnostics, or approximate location that Google processes for those services.
5. Audio and Music Features
All harmonium sounds in Real Harmonium are generated directly on your device. When you play the keyboard, everything happens locally.
- Your playing is never recorded without your action or listened to, and audio is never transmitted. The anonymous analytics described in Section 9.2 may include which note names you played (for example C4), but never audio or recordings.
- Controls such as transpose, octave, reverb, and reed settings simply adjust the sound on your device.
- No audio from your sessions is uploaded to any server.
6. MIDI Keyboard Support
Real Harmonium can work with external MIDI keyboards so you can play the app using a physical instrument.
- MIDI connection is optional and always initiated by you.
- MIDI notes are processed on your device in real time to produce sound.
- Raw MIDI data is never stored or transmitted. Like any other input, the note names you play may be included in the anonymous analytics described in Section 9.2; no MIDI device or message data is sent.
7. Recording Features
If you record a performance inside the app, the recording is created for you alone.
- Recordings remain private to you and stay on your device unless you choose to share them.
- We never receive copies of your recordings.
- You can play back, share, or delete your recordings at any time.
8. Device and Technical Information
We do not collect device models, operating system details, usage logs, crash reports, or any other technical information about you or your device ourselves. Google's ads and analytics SDKs process limited diagnostics, device identifiers, and app-interaction data as described in Section 9.
If you ever contact us by email for support, we use your message only to help you and never add you to any mailing list.
9. Third-Party Services
9.1 Google Ads (AdMob) — Android app only
The Android app on Google Play displays ads to stay free. These ads are served by Google (AdMob). To serve and measure ads, Google may process your Android advertising identifier, an app-set identifier, limited device information, app interactions (such as taps and ad views), diagnostics, and an approximate location derived from your IP address, under Google's own privacy policy:
- Ads are requested only while you are using the app (app-open and transition placements). We do not serve ads in the browser version of the app.
- We do not receive, view, or store your advertising identifier or any advertising data.
- You can reset or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads), and Google provides its own ads controls.
9.2 Google Analytics for Firebase — Android app only
The Android app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the instrument is used and to keep it working well. Google processes the following on our behalf, under Google's own privacy policy:
- App interactions — which keys are played (note names only), which screens and controls are used, and session length. No audio, no recording contents, and no free-form text.
- Diagnostics — app and SDK performance, such as startup time and errors, so faults can be found and fixed.
- Device or other identifiers — an app-instance identifier and the Android advertising identifier, used to count users and sessions.
- Approximate location — a coarse country or region derived from your IP address, not your GPS location.
We receive only aggregated reports. We do not receive your identifiers, your individual events, or your location. We do not use analytics for profiling or to target ads ourselves, and no analytics or advertising data is linked to your recordings.
9.3 Google Play
The app is distributed through Google Play. Installation, updates, and billing through Google Play are handled by Google under its own privacy policy, which you can review on your device.
If this ever changes, this policy will be updated before those changes take effect.
10. Data Security
Your playing, settings, and recordings remain on your own device, so you are always in control of them. The limited ad and analytics data described in Section 9 is transmitted to Google over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections. The app relies on the standard security protections built into your Android device.
We recommend keeping your device updated and protected with a screen lock for the best security.
11. Data Retention and Deletion
We do not retain any user information, because we never receive it. There is no account to delete and no server data to request. Google retains ad and analytics data under its own retention policies; you can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
Data that exists on your device — such as your settings and recordings — is fully under your control:
- Delete individual recordings from within the app whenever you wish.
- To remove the app's private data at once, uninstall the app or clear its data from your device settings.
Uninstalling the app removes its private data (settings and any recordings kept inside the app). Recordings you saved to your device's Music folder remain there until you delete them.
12. Children's Privacy
Real Harmonium is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and the app provides no way for such information to be submitted.
If you have any concerns about children's privacy related to the app, please contact us at the email below.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date.
We are committed to keeping Real Harmonium a privacy-friendly application, and future versions of this policy will continue to reflect that commitment.
